The Do's and Dont's of Pregnancy

With so many people giving their opinion on what to do and what not to do during pregnancy, it becomes hard to determine what is fact and what is fiction. Below is a list of some of the more important factors to consider in regards to pregnancy do's and dont's.

food during pregnancy
Certain foods need to be avoided during pregnancy. Listeria, which is caused by uncooked meats, some seafood, unpasterized milk and soft cheeses, can cause birth defects, miscarriages and stillbirth.

cat litter
Toxoplasmosis, is a disease which is contracted by contact with cat feces. It is spread by a parasite which can lead to miscarriages, stillbirth and birth defects.

smoking
smoking during pregnancy is definitely a no no. It has been linked to a low birth weight, miscarriage and premature birth in many different studies. Second hand smoke poses the same dangers during pregnancy, and should be avoided at all costs.

Caffeine
Some studies on caffeine during pregnancy have led to the conclusion that the two do not mix well together, as caffeine may increase the possibility of miscarriage and low birth weight. On the other hand, other studies have shown no link between the two. Obviously an excessive amount of caffeine is a bad idea regardless of pregnancy. An excessive amount of caffeine is generally regarded as over 300 milligrams per day. If you stay well clear of this figure, caffeine during pregnancy is less likely to cause problems.

Safety around the house
There are many hazards around the house for pregnant women, but almost all can be easily avoided. If you still insist on doing all the house work yourself, try to stay clear of aerosol cans, industrial strength cleaners and fumes from paint, solvents and strippers. All of the above have been linked to birth defects and other pregnancy complications. It also pays to take it a little easier around certain parts of the house such as stair cases.

body temperature
Keeping a moderate body temperature during pregnancy (especially during first trimester) is important as it may lead to birth defects. It is a good idea to keep an eye on your temperature during exercise and keep your fluids up. Things such as saunas and hot baths are not recommended during pregnancy.

Alcohol and drugs
To be safe with alcohol during pregnancy it is probably best to avoid it altogether, as there is no safe level of consumption. It can have detrimental affects on an unborn child. In comparison to a fully grown woman, a baby is very small, so you could imagine the potential damage to the baby if the mother was drunk or even tipsy. drugs during pregnancy have been shown to have a negative effect. drugs such as cocaine have been shown to hinder the development of a babys vital oxygen and nourishment, leading to complications such as birth defects and even an addiction in the child itself.

exercise
exercise during pregnancy is recommended for most women, but only at a moderate pace. women who participated in high impact exercise, weight lifting, contact sports, high altitude training or scuba diving before pregnancy, will have to readjust their routines. walking is highly recommended for at least the first two trimesters, as it can help your body withstand the rigors of labor and delivery more easily.

The do's and donts of pregnancy are different for each woman and each pregnancy. The above information is not a medical opinion and should not substitute a professional medical opinion. Always consult your doctor or care provider before making any major decisions before, during and even after pregnancy.

Learning to Access SILENCE

To access deep wisdom you need to learn the art of silence. When you are quiet and listening within to your own heart song, your rhythm, and the centeredness of your being, thats when you have great access to wisdom, ability and the expanded consciousness. Silence is where you learn that you are an extraordinary being, with unlimited capacity, and that secrets are revealed to you. In moments when you become quiet a wonderful world opens to you. Or shall I say is revealed to you. It is in this space that you recognize the quiet center of your soul that rests in continual peace.

We connect with the divine part of ourselves in the silence. To allow yourself to simply be is the greatest act of respect. This is another lesson that we delve from the silence. From the simple to the extraordinary we encompass all of it. We are capable of the quiet interaction to the great displays of courage, grace, magic, and laughter, to the full blown wildest imagination. As you spend more time in periods of silence, you find that you are renewed, energized, have great ideas, connect with solutions, can propel yourself forward, or can shift from an inflexible position to one of fluidity as swiftly and easily as you need.

You easily recognize what feels peaceful and what or who does not. It becomes a simple thing when you can make an adjustment in your life so that you can retain your peace. The quietude of your mind, and heart is an extraordinary peaceful encounter. When your mind is running with fury and it pulls you in many directions, it is hard to find the balance without the quiet. We need to actively pursue the stillness. We need to quiet our minds, and unburden ourselves of all the mind junk. It does take much practice but everything worthwhile does take practice. The mind is fast and furious. The mind is vengeful and full of its desires and pressures. You must choose the quietude to know your peaceful nature. Silence is the pathway to your higher consciousness and understanding and ability.

Types Of Women Most Likely To Cheat

A question that some guys spend way too much time trying to figure out is the type of women that is most likely to cheat on you.

Here is just a short list of the types of women some men seem to think are more likely to cheat on him:

  • Party Goers
  • Strippers
  • Emotionally abused women
  • Physically abused women
  • Sexually abused women
  • Women with low self-esteem
While it is true that the type of women on this list do cheat on their men, your being with a woman of this kind does not mean she is more likely to cheat on you.

In fact, the types of women that are most likely to cheat on you are the women that you have not completely attracted.

The reason why the types of women listed above might seem to be more likely to cheat is because it is very difficult to attract these types of women completely.

These types of women are also much more likely to get into a relationship with a man for reasons other than how attracted she is to him.

In other words, women cheat because they have found another man who creates a stronger attraction inside of her than you presently can.

At the same time, the lifestyle that you provide for her is much greater than what the other man can or she is smart enough to know there is no guarantee that the other man will provide her with the type of lifestyle you are.

So really the answer is quite simple, the less she is attracted to you compared with other men the more likely she is to cheat.

put another way, the stronger her attraction for you the less likely she is to cheat.

Brown rice is low in salt and sugar with zero cholesterol and gluten. Whole grain rice is loaded with natural nutrients and fiber that aren't found in refined white rice.

Rice is an ancient food believed to be cultivated in China over 6000 years ago. There is evidence that rice has been grown in primitive cultures up to 9000 years past.

It's only been in recent history that refined white rice was introduced along with refined flour, sugar and all the other products that were supposedly more convenient for us. Of course that's when most of our modern health issues started to increase as well. Brown rice may help to regulate high blood pressure and sugar fluctuations as well as cholesterol and heart disease. weight loss is another welcome possibility of consuming whole grain brown rice.

Brown rice has numerous minerals that benefit your muscles, bones, nails, teeth and hair. So the next time you boil your rice, be sure it's whole grain brown rice which is bursting with life giving nutrients in a tasty treat.

Paris Locations of The Da Vinci Code

The beginning of The Da vinci code takes place in Paris, visiting some of Paris most famous and visited attractions, notably the Louvre Museum and the Jardins des Tuileries. The Da vinci code visits other less famous Paris attractions: saint-Sulpice Church and the Arago Rose Line.

saint-Sulpice Church, the supposed home to the Priory of Sion is in fact Paris biggest church. saint-Sulpice is larger than Notre Dame! The present church, built in the middle of the 16th century replaced a previous Romanesque church built in the 13th. Yes, saint-Sulpice has a brass line on its floor and an Obelisk as The Da vinci code states. But its not the Paris Meridian (thats about 100 yards away), what the The Da vinci code calls the Rose Line. In fact the line inside saint-Sulpice is used to determine the winter solstice and Easter. At one end of the brass line is the Obelisk and the other end a marble plate. When the sun, passing through a saint-Sulpice window with a lens in it, touches the Obelisk it is the winter solstice. When the sun touches the marble plate it is the summer solstice. When the sun shines on the metal plate in the middle between the Obelisk and the marble plate it is Easter.

The Arago Rose Line, simply called the Rose Line in The da vinci code is the once 0 longitude line, better known as the Paris Meridian. The world used the Paris Meridian to calculate 0 longitude until 1888, then Greenwich England became the first prime meridian. In the 1990s 135 bronze disks were placed in its honor. The Arago Rose Line is named after French astronomer Francois Arago who recalculated the Paris Meridian in the early 19th and thus gave it greater accuracy. The Arago Rose Line runs north south through Paris for a distance of about 6 miles. Finding the Arago Rose Line can be a bit difficult but a lot of fun. I would try the Comdie-Franaise near the Palais Royal, also close to the Louvre. It might take time but you will find them!
